There is a friendly atmosphere at Valley View Farm and we do all that we can to make your stay enjoyable.
Linen
The price of the cottage includes all linen and the beds are made up with luxury feather duvets, synthetic bedding is also available on request. All bedrooms have a hairdryer and all bedrooms have large thick fluffy bath towels, hand towels and bath mats.
Mid Week Clean
For those of you staying a week you can now treat yourself to a mid-week clean. This costs £15 for a 1-bedroom cottage, £20 for a 2-bedroom cottage, £30 for a 3-bedroom cottage and can be booked when you book your holiday online.
Equipment
Each holiday cottage has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, vacuum cleaner, kettle, toaster, and an ironing board and iron. They are well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Each cottage has a radio and a TV, video and DVD player in the sitting room, as well as a TV in each bedroom. Free WiFi is also available. All cottages have central heating throughout, and a fire in the sitting room. There are tea and coffee making facilities in all the cottages so you can enjoy a cup of Yorkshire Tea or coffee.
Newspapers and groceries
There is a welcoming tea tray laid out on arrival. The local shops are 5 miles away in Helmsley. The nearest supermarket is Tescos at Thirsk, 9 miles away. Alternatively, you could visit www.tesco.com and have your groceries delivered to the door. There are petrol stations in both Helmsley (01439 770 434) and at Thirsk (01845 522 243).

The nearest Doctors Surgery is in Helmsley (01439 770 288). The nearest hospital is at Northallerton (01609 779 911). The nearest dentist is in Helmsley (01439 770 493). The nearest veterinary surgery is in Helmsley (01439 771 166) but there is one in Thirsk as well (01845 522 297).
Children
Children of any age are welcome. Cots, cot linen and high chairs are available on request. We charge £25 per Z-bed.
Pets
Pets are all made welcome and there is the option of a kennel for your dog/s for days when you may want to enjoy a day out. We can also offer a dog sitting service. Cats and other small animals are also welcome. We have even had tortoise, parrots, ferrets and birds of prey staying!
Car parking
There is ample off-road car parking in the farm yard next to the cottages.

There are a number of taxi companies for those times when you don't want to drive.
Dale Taxis in Thirsk tel: 01845 522745 and Town & Country Taxis 01845 525892. The fare to or from Thirsk is approx £19.
R E D Taxis in Helmsley 07760 160244. The fare is approx £7 to and from Helmsley.

If you have ordered a hamper directly with Hunters, then they will arrange delivery of your hamper with an additional delivery charge of £5, please make them aware that you are staying with us as this charge is reduced for our guests.
